Why haven't you joined the NAACS yet?

•We offer our members up-to-date information that will affect the way they conduct business.

• We provide a permanent presence in Washington, D.C., registered to lobby on behalf of the NAACS on Capitol Hill as well as having direct access to DoD, DLA and FAA headquarters.

• Create better opportunities for members to re-sell their property to the government, friendly foreign nations and commercially.

• Working with other industry groups, the NAACS has twice defeated proposed legislation in Congress that, if enacted, would have allowed the Department of Defense to seize from you items that you lawfully purchased on the alleged ground that further demilitarization was required.

• Provides a vehicle to affect change in your industry.

Membership Benefits

The NAACS, whose executive offices are based out of the nation's capitol, is the only association that ensures that military surplus dealers stay in business.   In fact, it's the only association of its kind.   Military surplus aircraft dealers operate in a heavily regulated industry.   There are a myriad of laws and regulations that NAACS members are faced with and must comply with in order for their businesses to lawfully function on a daily basis.   The NAACS not only lobbies on behalf of its members to Congressional offices and agencies such as the FAA, DLA and DoD, but it also keeps its members updated and current on pertinent export, government contract and aviation safety laws and regulations as well as potential legislation proposed that could adversely affect the way they do business.   The NAACS provides its members with these updates through newsletters, emails, direct discussion and various meetings, including its Annual Meeting - a function which invites various officials in the above listed agencies and fields to come and share their insight firsthand with NAACS members, as a means to keep its members businesses profitable and in compliance with the law.

Your NAACS membership should be considered as an insurance policy that will keep you "in the loop" on important government regulations, changes and proposals that affect the military surplus industry.   Most NAACS members are small to medium sized businesses and do not always have the necessary resources to individually monitor legislation in Congress and in the various Government agencies in order to stay current regarding important regulations that effect their businesses.   Many times, recognition comes too late as small businesses find themselves debarred or suspended from contracting with the Government or others, and/or, possibly facing criminal penalties, not to mention gross, business-crippling fines for non-compliance. The NAACS will help your business stay informed and notified of the laws that effect the military surplus industry.

The NAACS is a way for smaller businesses to join together in one unified voice to ensure that their business interests are being looked after.   Over 90% of our members have belonged to the NAACS for over 10 years.   That serves as the best evidence that our members believe that we are providing them with a quality service, investment and advice.

MEMBER TESTIMONIALS

"I've been a member of the NAACS for more than 10 years. It's the best   investment I can make to insure the future of my company."

"The NAACS has gone to bat for us on many issues which affect our business.  They spent many days working with the DLA in an effort to stop the senseless demilling of parts.  This effort is continuing.  Twice, the NAACS has been successful in lobbying Congress to defeat legislation which would have allowed the DoD to seize materiel allegedly requiring further DEMIL.  The NAACS works for you.  Join today and help yourself remain in a business which is critical to our faltering economy."

"I would like to thank  [the NAACS] for your time and effort in putting together  [the 2003 NAACS Annual Meeting].  The presentation by Ann and the Defense Logistics Agency was right to the point.  It will increase our ability to sell more parts back to the U.S. Government."

 -Yoram Ron
ILN Technologies, Inc.

"The  [NAACS' 2003 Annual Meeting] was such a treat and I have to agree with all the great responses you received.  I don't know if I can top it.  Today I made sure my $500.00 membership is paid plus $500.00 contribution and I am committing myself to an additional $1500.00 before the year is over."

 -Sam D.
Sam's Airpack Plus Inc.

"I just wanted to "ditto" all the positive comments that have been circulating on the NAACS  [2003] annual meeting.  Without you, John  [Fausti], and your capable staff, our association would not exist (certainly not with the clout that we have with your help).  The meeting was excellent, speakers were very informative and relevant to every one of our member's businesses, and the opportunity to just mingle with the government reps. and our peers was worth the trip.  I propose that we meet every year!

Our industry is abuzz with discussions about the export/MLI/CCLI/customs issues, and I am very grateful that I was in attendance to take in all the information.  I am looking forward to receiving copies of the slides used by the speakers.  That will stimulate more discussions in my office.

Keep up the great work!
